We here at Sand Castle Kennels, take full responsibility for the pups we produce. Our goal is to produce boxers that conform to the breed standard, with health and temperament being of equal importance (because they should all be long-lived house pets, regardless of quality). We evaluate our pups at birth, as they grow, and with the assistance of at least two other reputable breeders, we make our final decision at 8-10 weeks as to their status of 'show' (conformation/breeding) potential or pet (non-breeding) quality. We cannot promise a puppy until our evaluation is complete. We want to make sure that the right puppy goes to the right home, based on the needs of the home and the activity level of the pup. Puppies considered 'pet' quality may have a minor conformation fault or unattractive markings that would not allow it to be competitive in the conformation ring, but these pups are certainly eligible to be shown in obedience, agility, tracking, and other non-conformation activities! In fact, We encourage active participation in these sports, as it is a load of fun!
